BIRDER
BIRDER
Cherry – January 11 – April 22, 20011 – about 4 feet tall
Currently on loan to Logan County Animal Clinic, Russellville, KY
The obvious elements of Birder are a binocular equipped figure standing in marsh vegetation, looking off into the distance. It includes one other, not too easily noticed element. A small bird is hiding in the marsh vegetation near her feet. She hears it, but can't spot it. Every birder has had a similar experience.
The image below shows Birder in progress. The idea for it being a birder came from puzzling over what she should hold in her hand and what to do with all the extra mass at the bottom of the slightly too short billet. If she's standing in ankle deep water, then she's tall enough.
